About Me / Program Description
  My name is Johanna Waiyee Tam. I will be a senior starting in the fall at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. I am mathematics major in the pure and statistics option. For this summer, I am modeling the spread of respiratory diseases in the Central Reception and Assignment Facility (CRAF) for the state of New Jersey through the DIMACS center at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. My research supervisor is Professor Nina Fefferman. My research is funded by the NSF (National Science Foundation). About the Project   Project Outline I am using different sets of SIR equations to model the spread of respiratory diseases in CRAF. CRAF is the intake prison of New Jersey.
