My name is Jessica McCoy, and I am from Grifton, North Carolina (you'll probably need a good map to find it!). I'm a senior at North Carolina State University, where I am double-majoring in industrial engineering and applied mathematics, and minoring in Spanish and Italian. Last fall I completed an independent study in linear programming, and I worked on an integer programming code in the spring. In addition, I completed the graduate courses for both linear and nonlinear programming. All of this preparation lead me here, as a participant in the DIMACS REU program. So for the next few weeks my headquarters are in Piscataway, New Jersey, where I am working with fellow IE student Abhinav Jha) and advisor Art Chaovalitwongse.
